Thoughts ~ God uses us to encourage one another, to help
us smile on difficult days, to remind one another about the Love of our Father.
Day 20 of Giving our Hearts through God’s
Love just might be the perfect way to heal a little bit ourselves and to show
love in action. At least it feels so right to me and I am grateful to my friend
Vicki for directing me to this wonderful idea. I haven’t made paper snowflakes
in years but that is what today is about. Sending snowflakes to the children
returning to Sandy Hook after the Christmas break. Helping make their school a little
magical and fun despite the tragedy. The designer of evil would like nothing
more than the children to live fearful and hate-filled lives, but with our
prayers and participation, I think we can make their school something
beautiful.

Elementary go back to school, the National Parent Teacher Association wants
them to be greeted by a winter wonderland. You and your child can help welcome
the students back to school, which will be in a new building, by making unique
snowflakes! The snowflakes are due by January 12. Please send them to:

This won’t cost us anything but white paper that is in
our printer already unless you get all glittery. You can place them in a large brown envelope
and get them mailed asap. Another thing that can be done is go to a local Hobby
Lobby the day after Christmas and you might find lots of deep-discounted
snowflakes. What a special opportunity to get our children and grandchildren
involved too! Have fun sharing the Love of the Lord by encouraging the children
in Connecticut.
Prayer ~ Lord, may our snowflakes be blessings to
the children who return to Sandy Hook Elementary School. I pray that they feel comforted and also that
they are able to move forward and live full lives. I pray they learn to love You too and hope
that evil will not be a focus in their growth as students. Amen.
