Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down,
shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the
measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38
Day 16
Thoughts ~ A Facebook friend who has a page
called ‘Healed to Serve’ posted something today just as I was needing
encouragement as I prepared to write my blog. I am in awe of God’s consistent care
of my heart and how He meets my needs at the exact time I am at a loss. After
the shootings yesterday I was having a difficult time writing about giving of
our hearts and the ideas I had to share seemed trivial. Today my friend
encouraged me to keep on giving my heart during these days of Christmas. Read
her post:
“Wow, so I just heard this touching story about a
man that got stopped by a police officer for having an expired registration.
The police officer asked him why he did not renew it and his response was,
" I had to choose between feeding my kids and renewing it". The
police officer slipped him a ticket and left the scene. As he was about to
drive he opened up the ticket and noticed that he had given him a $100. Bill.
He immediately began to sob and drove to the driver’s license department to
renew his registration.
Let's remember not to get to caught up in ourselves. There is always someone who is worse off than we are. The greatest gift of all is love. Take time to bless someone else.”

Actions ~ Her words are all I need to post today.
She said it all for me. “Let's remember not to get to caught up in ourselves. There
is always someone who is worse off than we are. The greatest gift of all is
love. Take time to bless someone else.”
Prayers ~ Father, show me who I can bless today, in
any way You lead me. I want to be an instrument of Your love, Your joy and Your
peace. Please continue embracing the people in Newtown, Connecticut as they
grieve their loved ones deaths. Draw them so close to you so that they feel
Your presence.
Trusting in the Lord,
Becky
